It's a Maserati of course, though not Ghibli 2 based (but closely related).

Indeed it is.
We've had the 'production' version before (production of 1 I think!) from 1994 but this is the original 1992 prototype.
Below is a front view of this prototype so you can see the differences between it snd the later car around the front and rear.  But as is often the case it might well be the same car which was re-worked a year or two later...

From what I've read, my understanding is also that there was only ever one single car indeed, which was reworked before being put on sale.
