READ CAREFULLY:

Here you are a different kind of puzzle.
Try to identify this car.
If you want to play fair, find the answer the old fashioned way.
If you want to cheat, you can easily find it via Google Image Search, 1st page.
If you are dumb, here's the answer:  - Samuri -, (right click and copy to read it.)

it's a game, if you like to play it go on!

(BTW: if you know the car, don't be afraid to answer immediately!  ;D )

Yes, let's do it the old fashioned way.  ;)

Wild guess: Australian one-off with Jaguar engine

barrett

By the size of the number plate I would guess it is British...?

Thank you all.

This car was not built in Australia, UK or Sweden, it is not based on a Jaguar and not a one-off...but only 2 were made.

Not from there.
Some clues:
The name I'm after was known in another country for a kind of vehicles...then he moved to another country where 2 of these specials where built starting from different cars.
These specials where not built in any of the mentioned countries.

jotage21

a kind of terrestrial vehicles? Truck?

Paul Jaray

Nope...he used to tune and race cars...one in particular...

jotage21

Paul Jaray

Not dragsters....the 'one in particular' refers to a specific model of a specific brand.

Front page!

Not Mini...
Find this car and you'll have the name!

Wendax

Were the cars he used to tune and race Italian?

I owned a late model Triumph GT6 for nearly ten years, and things are ringing bells about this car.

You can't see a lot of detail, but the rear suspension looks like a Triumph swing-axle system, and the steering rack is in the right sort of place. Is this car based on a Triumph chassis - early or late GT6, or one of the associated models (Spitfire, early Vitesse or Herald)?

Paul Jaray

You have quite an eye!  :o
The car is indeed based on a Triumph, not a GT6 but a Spitfire.
The engine was replaced with a different unit...
