I'm sorry...too many things to do...

My apologies for playing an elimination game. Is the engine Italian?
Not Italian engine.

The name of this car was never used before in that form.
A tranlated version of it was a famous maker and the model of an american manufacturer.
It comes from a big and inspiring world of names...
Name of an animal ?
Yes!
Name of a felidae ?
Name of a snake?
Halcón?
Not a felidae, a snake or a bird. There was another family of names were you can find it and was pretty much used in naming cars, makers or even pictured in the badges...but that would be far too easy ;)

Name of an animal that lives in the water/sea ?

If I'm right, oko94's next guess will be the right one.

Name of a mammal ?
Yes, sorry about that.
Locked for you.
The only American car named after a non-felidae mammal that I can think of is the Impala, but there's no famous brand of that name so I'm completely lost.
Is it the name of an animal that belongs to the Caniformia suborder ?
The American model that shares this name is not Impala (and not that relevant in automobile history) but the (european) maker is quite know...but not in that language.
I have to unlock it but here's another clue: given one of my previous hint plus your latest guesses I thought you discovered what limited group of names it was...
Well, the only mammals that I suggested so far were felidae and horses, but you dismissed both, so I don't know which of my previous guesses you're referring to.
If it's close to a horse it could be Cebra, spanish for zebra.

Not a felidae, a snake or a bird. There was another family of names were you can find it and was pretty much used in naming cars, makers or even pictured in the badges...but that would be far too easy ;)
this other group is not about animals only but also mytological creatures...it's not big at all and in your previous guesses you named (or were close to) few of them.
These days you can encounter them quite often.
Unicornio (Unicorn/Licorne) ?
Not that, it is a real animal...but the language you choose is correct.
Some kind of wolf ?
Pretty much all mythological creatures don't actually exist (otherwise they wouldn't be mythological) so you lost me again !
Reno?
Malibu?

I'm reading my replies but couldn't find where I mislead you, this time. :-\
I meant that this name (that in Italian is the answer of this puzzle) is the name of a real, mammal, Animal.
The same name was used by an American company (big, universally known and still active) for one of his models (not that lucky-known-relevant, in my opininon) in the english form of it. The same english form of it, was also a quite known European maker, active till late 30s (but there the meaning was different, btw).
Again, the same name, always in the English form, can be found in a very limited group, where you can find
also mythological creatures and reading your guesses, I had the impression you were picking from that group.
In my reply #88 there is another heavy clue...
Not Mailbu or Reno.
some kind of a monkey?
Not monkey.
Bison?
Not Bison.
I suggest you to decrypt the clues...you'll know immediately when you are right ;)
Is this mammal belonging to the Carnivora order (canidae, felidae, mustelidae, ursidae, viverridae) ?

Not a Carnivora
Not a Taurus
Not a Colt.
One of these is another excellent guess in the right direction.
Toro ?
Is this mammal belonging to the Ruminantia suborder ?
Ariete?
Stallion?
:applause: :applause: Ariete:
The name of this car was never used before in that form.
A tranlated version of it was a famous european maker active till late 30s (but there the meaning was different): Ariès
and the model of an american manufacturer (big, universally known and still active): Dodge Aries
name of a mammal animal
There was another family of names were you can find it but also mytological creatures and was pretty much used in naming cars, makers or even pictured in the badges (zodiac signs)
in your previous guesses you named (or were close to) few of them: (scorpions, spiders...)
These days you can encounter them quite often (horoscopes)
I really tried my best ;)
Ariete it is and I am going to award you a point but you know what?
I won't tell you the builder's name, because you need it for another puzzle...this:
http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=32115.0
They've been built by the same man ;)
I've always thoroughly despised anything related to astrology so it's no wonder that all your hints never rang a bell in my mind ;D
...and I keep forgetting that it's extraordinary easy when you know the answer! ;D

At least there was Rosengart's Ariette (http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=23344). ;)
I thought about Dodge Ram, and Aries...but I've been very lucky!
Puzzle solved and point added.
I'll move it when the other will be solved as well ;)
Time to move now.
This is the 2nd car built by Piccolotto in 1957 and called Ariete.
