Title: Solved: Wendax 1793 - Latil truck with Baumgärtner cab
Post by: Wendax on December 22, 2015, 02:14:27 AM
From the time when COE bodywork had to be done by coachbuilders.

For one point, please respond and identify this truck by naming chassis manufacturer and coachbuilder.

The chassis is a Latil one, that was the easy part. Gentlemen, find the coachbuilder!  :)

I wouldn't call him well-known, but not obscure either. One of his specialities seem to have been COE cabs like this one.

Hmmm. Assuming that the customer was Daimler-Benz and that the main business of this coachbuilder was fire trucks... Could it be Ziegler ?

You are right with Daimler-Benz, but I didn't mean fire trucks...

So, not Ziegler.

Yes, it is a Kuka garbage collecting truck on a Latil chassis with a cab built by Baumgärtner of Augsburg.
