Know what it is?

Please, respond below and let us know the make and model designation of the car posted here.

Also, please be sure to check out our other puzzles, and, please post a puzzle of your own if you'd like - the more, the merrier.

Thanks

This is quite famous for being just about the ugliest car ever made. The Aurora, built in 1957 by Catholic priest Alfredo Juliano, had a purpose, though - it was supposed to be the safest car ever built. I would be prepared to accept a small injury or five instead of being seen driving this hideous car. So I wouldn't be seen dead in one - but the chance of that seems quite slim...

Solved: Lorenzo #1 - 1957 Aurora safety car
« Reply #8 on: November 28, 2016, 04:58:09 AM »
For one point, please provide the name and year of this automobile, along with the name of its designer. That's the guy seating behind the wheel, with an incomprehensible look of apprehension on his face - or maybe he realized too late that his creation was far from the beauty he dreamed of? ::)

Excellent! Nothing is missing, not even Father Juliano's middle initial. I guess you cannot forget such a car when you've seen it once!

The car that Father Juliano have patiently constructed was based on a 1954 Buick Roadmaster, as a trivia.

The Aurora safety car sat outside deteriorating badly for years before someone thought enough of it to give it a complete and excellent restoration. Now THAT's dedication, folks.
