Written on the bonnet is "Allard 38".

A recent ebay auction listed it as "1930s Style Full Alloy Bodied Single Seat Race Car"

Interesting to note that the fan and fan housing seems to have been removed from the engine. Definitely not a car for heavy traffic then....
