Not by Pourtout according to the caption

There is no certainty about who made the body, I know your caption says unknown Swiss coach builder, but it's attributed to Pourtout by many Bugatti sites, also by the coachbuild site. The car exists and was in Switzerland. Even on the cover of a Type 40 book.

That's interesting, that would mean someone is misinformed.... do you have any other pics of this Pourtout Type 40 ?

Sorry for the late reply. I think we should cal this one solved by Ropat. Remains strange that the caption says 'unknown Swiss coach builder', assuming that this information was given by the owner himself.
