Multiple teardrop design.

For one point, please respond and identify this car and its coachbuilder.

Delage  Aerodynamic Coupe, concept by Portout

Wendax

Good guess, but neither a Delage proposal, nor by Pourtout.

Well, if not Delage, perhaps Delahaye? No clue yet on the coachbuilder, other than for some reason it doesn't strike me as Italian.

Wendax

It is a Delahaye and the coachwork is not Italian.

Ah! Let the search begin in earnest, then. Saoutchik?

Thanks for sticking with me on this fishing expedition . . . OK, let's see, we know it's a Delahaye proposal, and we know who it's NOT by:

Portout
Saoutchik
Chapron
d'Iteren Freres

VanVooren?

No, but your last two guesses were close, in different ways.  ;)

Ah, excellent clue. I only had about three guesses left before I would REALLY have to get into some serious digging (not that I mind that - as I always say, the research is at least half the fun!). My three remaining choices would have been: Ghia-Aigle, Graber and Van den Plas. Your hint make me think Belgian, and similar to VanVooren . . . so I decided to jump right to Van den Plas. I then did a pretty thorough online search of "Delahaye Van den Plas", and there was the quiz photo. Unfortunately no more information than that - so my guess will be that it's a Van den Plas drawing of a proposed Delahaye. I don't have a year or even a model designation.

Neither do I, but that's enough for a point. Well done!
