From 1904 until 1913 the Schacht Manufacturing Company – later the Schacht Motor Car Company – produced more than 8000 'high-wheelers' and conventional cars in Cincinnati, OH.

Jenkins retired from the 1913 Indy 500 due to a broken crankshaft. The previous year, Bill Endicott in a Schacht finished 5th.
