Johno

Volvo 262 Coupe by Bertone. I have dates ranging from 1978 to 1981 (David Bowie owned one)

sichel

Volvo 262 C prototype, built by Coggiola, based on Volvo 164.
Ein Henschel zieht am Berg und ein Mercedes
an den Türen. (and an attempt of a translation):
A Henschel in rushing up the hill, wheras in a Mercedes wind is rushing through the doors. c/o norberthanke

hermanoto

... designed by Jan Wilsgaard, introduced as prototype at Salon  Geneva in 1977

I have it as "Volvo 262C styled by Bertone, 1978-81"  so I've given Johno and Sichel a point apiece.
Thank you hermanoto for the additional information

I'm sorry to interfere, but the puzzle car is a regular production model, nothing to do with a prototype
1) It is a second series Volvo 262 C Bertone from 1979.
Can be distinguished from other models by the front spoiler and other small details. (and on its colour, sharing with the third and last facelift)

2) I have attached photos of the Coggiola prototype. This is the only one Coggiola-prototype

3) The design is by Jan Wilsgaard

Attached brochure-photos of the puzzle car: Volvo 262 C 1979, second series

Can an admin please remove the word "Prototype" from the title.

Thank you!
'1978-81' is rather confusing, because details were constantly changed from 1979 until the end of production of the 262 C. It is definitely model year 1979

May I please know why a point was deducted from my account?  :-\
Too much information provided?

Wendax

Corrected, must have happened when the train was shaking. 🤢
