The Chic was an 'assembled' car using British components, such as a Meadows 4 and 6 cylinder engines and gearbox. Clarence Chick described his vehicle as "a BRITISH car designed for Australian conditions". A five seat tourer, five seat sedan and a two-seat roadster. were exhibited at the 1923 Adelaide Motor Show. Production ended in 1927, and Clarence Chick moved to Melbourne, working as a consulting engineer. Approximately 40 were built, with 4 known to survive today.
A Chic was one of 5 Australian built cars featured in a set of 30 cent stamps released in 1984.
