Is it prewar/wartime?

Borgward 5-ton chassis?

fromwien

No
But sorry, I have to correct my answers, as I found some incorrections in my source:
1) The chassis is prewar!
2) Bodywork prewar or wartime
So please be so kind and look for a Hansa-Lloyd prewar chassis type
Again LOCKED for you for three trials

Hansa-Lloyd Merkur IV?

fromwien

Yes! Sorry for inconveniences

My source shows 1936 to 1939; I don't know if it's possible to narrow it down any further than that.

I agree to you about the date of building the chassis. From 1938 onwards, the type designations have changed and the vehicles were called Borgward. I don't know the exact date, when the bodywork was built by Harmening. The puzzle-bus was in service of the "Reichsbahn" in Austria in 1940
