I've never seen one of these before. Have you? What is it?

Neither Ford or Chevrolet Cheyenne, although it resembles the Chevrolet.

Yes.
Looks pretty much like this Mexican-made Chevrolet C-15.
Yes, it does, but that's not exactly it. Try earlier.
Dina 1000 ?

Taken together, I'll grant the point. This is a DINA D-1000 from about 1978-79. DINA stands for Diesel Nacional S.A., which is a Mexican company that at that time assembled mostly heavy trucks using GM and International body parts and their own domestically-manufactured diesel engines. The one-ton D-1000 and 3-ton D-3000 were, I believe, their first foray into lighter trucks. As you point out, soon after, Chevrolet began competing in that market with their own trucks. But the D-1000 is a compelling mystery, with its GM front and International-copy locally-manufactured bed and tailgate, with International taillights. Some versions had a DINA or Perkins diesel or an AMC-designed six from the Mexican AMC affiliate.
Thanks for the point !
