Scania Vabis LV75 or LV71 1958 Be-Ge Karosserifabrik Belgium
Yes, it is a Scania Vabis LV75, built in 1958, but I have another piece of information about the builder. Locked for Bill d isere.
Van Eyck
No.
Are you sure it's not Be-Ge?
Hello Bill, my source is an article in a vintage commercial vehicle newspaper. It mentions a prototype that did not go into series production.
As there is no reference to a coachbuilder, I assume that it was built in the factory. Where did you get your information from?
Please feel free to contact me by IM.
I had an internet source, Mytransportblog, I think, which is inactive now. I only found this:
<<No links in puzzle posts, please!>>
I don't have a facebook account and can only see the picture, no text. Do you have the description for the picture?
I checked my source again, it says that two front steering cabs were built in Södertälje at the factory. One version with a 3,400 mm wheelbase and one with a 3,800 mm wheelbase were produced. The facebbok truck looks like the short version, the puzzle truck like the long one. They also differ in some parts (entrance, framing of the headlights).

[EN] Be-Ge Karosserifabrik based in Oskarshamn had been designing truck cabs for Scania and Volvo since 1946 and Scania finally acquired it in 1966.

Hi Bill, please excuse my late reaction, I was very busy. I dug back into my files and you are right, the cabin of this LB-75 prototype was built by Be-Ge in 1958. The project then disappeared into a drawer. So that's your next, well-deserved point!
This is what happens when you rely on a Scania to arrive on time. It's beautiful but unreliable :lmao: :lmao:
Thanks for this point that I humbly receive
