What kind of device is this?
Manufacturer, name and type designation as well as the year of manufacture are required.
Up to the Experts.

1983 - 1985: No
Unfortunately no relation to an Ami 6 :shakehead:

No.The model has a name and numbers that refer to the so-called axle formula.
Trkker 3340
No.
To clarify: It belongs to the Trakker series, but had another name. It remained a rarity, with no more than a dozen built. Have fun searching...

When in doubt, the middle way leads to the goal...
91
Yes, that's it.
The Multitrak was a highly interesting design.
8x6 results from the eight wheels of the tractor and trailer, from which the rear wheels of the tractor and the wheels of the trailer!!! were driven, see second picture.
Strictly speaking, it is an 8x6/6, because not only the front wheels of the tractor unit but also the wheels of the trailer were steered. The steering linkage is circled in blue in the second picture.
The Multitrak could compete with a dumper off-road, see picture three.
Nevertheless, only about a dozen were built, one survived outdoors, see picture four.
Thanks for the details.
Very complicated solution for little real benefit.

Well, compared to dumpers, it achieved payloads of up to 50 tons with cheaper and simpler technology. For example, no hydraulic drive or for additional steering. In Germany we have the saying: "What the farmer doesn't know, he doesn't eat". Perhaps that was also a reason for the failure.
