This bus is located in Ålesund, Norway. It has a british EAC chassis,it was rebodied and has a newer body. Norwegian coachbuilder. I will try to find more info, have patience a few days.
You are on the right track and can take your time. I'll lock the puzzle for you and change EAC to AEC ;-)
Ok, here is a poster w info:
The bus is a AEC Regal mark III from 1952. Its first body from T.Knutsen was replaced in 1970 w a body from Arna Bruk.
It was used in Ålesund by the bus company Landes Rutebiler. This company had in 1947 -81 8 buses from AEC. Total number of AEC buses in Norway was 12. Also note that an AEC chassis was 3 times more expensive than a similar chassis from Volvo.
A friend, still an active coach driver in Ålesund, started his career as driver of this actual bus.
The bus is restored and taken care of by Rutebilhistorisk Forening in Ålesund, and is parked at their premises, and is still in use
That's it!! Thank you very much for your detailed description and the background information on the vehicle and the company.
This is a really well-deserved point.
