What is this car called, and what is it based on, for 1 point?

As no one has put their hand up so far, I will be first to go.  So, is it Triumph (Herald/Spitfire chassis) based?
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Not as far as I know, no.
It's a real mish-mash of parts but I don't know what actual chassis it uses.
What I'm hoping to glean from the successful Puzzler is what engine/wheels/'screen/lights etc are in there, because they're all from different cars!

That is what the car is known as yes!
I don't know how much Morris Minor there is in it though, apart from the suspension.
It has an MG Midget 1275 cc engine and gearbox; Triumph TR3 wheels; a Morris 8 windscreen, bonnet, grille and radiator; an MG Magna scuttle; Standard 12 headlights and mudguards from a motorcycle!
Well done.

Here are a couple more pictures:

Thos one has appeared here before but I have a little more information about it now.
What is it and who designed and built the chassis - for 1 point?:

Is it perhaps a Rover Speed 20?

Is it perhaps a Rover Speed 20?

Is it a homebuild on a mainstream manufacturer's chassis?

It's a homebuilt but not on a proprietary chassis...

So the wheels, radiator grille and windscreen offer no clues to us poor Puzzlers?

They do..
They're nearly all from well-known cars but not sure about the grille..

Yes, there are bits from quite a few cars including MG.
