Not German, but 1950 is close enough - it was built in 1949.

Jakob Keller's Jap-powered 500cc special.
And the point goes to PJ. It was later fitted with a Triumph twin.

Czech
BMW engine
as usual, I found an image with little or no information on the car. for this puzzle I have nothing to comment on the car, so I think and I am practically certain that it's not Czech. As for the engine, I have no idea what it is.
Hungaria
I don't know the origin for this car
Not Czech, not Hungarian
I made a mistake, it's a European car
pros
This has already been a puzzle at least twice before. My apologies, only once before.....
no, first time on autopuzzles
Sorry BERTRAND if I seemed a bit rude. I was frustrated with Experts who didn't recognise it. Don't forget there's sometimes a hyphen between maker and engine in many racing categories.
Hello nicanary, I'm not sure to understand you. But one think i'm sure, there is not a hyphen for my puzzle.
Do you have this car as a Wehrlin ?
Just to clear some puzzles - this is the small monoplace built by Jakob Keller of Switzerland. It was originally fitted with a JAP engine but later a Triumph Twin was installed. He built it to comply with 500cc F3 regulations, but was unsure of what was required and so contacted the 500 Club in the UK. Unfortunately he didn't speak English so got a friend to write the letter, a Herr Wehrlin, and the 500 Club mistakenly thought Wehrlin had built the car.
Hence there are 2 entries on a certain well-known site, one for each name.
thank you for the details, one more point for you
Merged.
