Can you identify this car?  My sources just tell the maker and the coachbuilder, so that's enough to get the point.

targhediferro

No interest among Experts....sorry for the bad image.

nicanary

Is that a Goggomobil?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

DKW 1955 by D'Ieteren ?

I've found the puzzle image - why is it so much smaller than the standard saloon alongside it?

DKW 1955 by D'Ieteren ?
That's right. I noticed that this car looks smaller than the 3=6, but I don't know if it depends upon the picture or if the quiz car was based on a different kind of DKW.  This car took place in 1955 Liege-Rome-Liege. Another point for Saco.

Hiawatha

According to an interesting website it's based on a F91 chassis with an handmade aluminium body and engine tuned by Cocqx in Louvain.

Thank you...could you please send me a pvt message with this site?

Can I also get the link to the site that has more Information about this unique car?
I found the car today for the first time. It is quite similar to the DKW MONZA.
I've collected a lot of Information about the DKW MONZA  on www.dkwmonza.de

Best regards
Helmut

Could this be the same car? This picture was also taken during the 1955 Liege - Rome - Liege Rallye.

It is a DKW F91 sports coupe, built by Belgian coachbuilder D'Ieteren in 1954 for Edouard Boucquey. The body was made of aluminium.
In 1955 Boucquey took part in various rallies with it, including Liège-Rome-Liège (3rd place, see puzzle photo), Circuit Nivelles (3rd place overall, class winner 1000 cc).
There are said to have been contacts with the developers of the DKW Monza.

DKW F9 by D'Ieteren for Edouard Boucquey ( here at Monte Carlo 1954 )
1 point for sichel  :)

Thanks for the puzzle and the point.
However, I can't find a start from F. Boucquey at the Monte.
In 1954 Robert Rainaut started with the number 101 on a Panard Dyna X87 in Monte Carlo.
Boucquey is listed in the Liège-Romme-Liège start list in 1955 with DKW and number 101.

Yes (see below), and it is not a DKW F9, that was the 1939 prototype, but the West German postwar DKW F 91.
