Last one for today.
Correct make and model name for a point please.
On the up...
Hensen M30 ???
Delorean DMC-12 test mule?
Sorry, but no Hensen or Delorean connections here...
Up to the Pros.
Roadster by Astron Motors, UK?
Ah, I see what you mean, as they do look-alike, but it's not an Astron.
... but British?
Yes it is British, but with Continental European roots (now there's a clue! ; ).
Roadster or coupe?
It's a coupe.
Astron was a very good guess.. Anyhow, is it a one-off self-made model?
No, not a one-off, but commercially available and often advertised in period.
Regis Mohawk?
Not a Regis Mohawk.
A modified Deltayn Proteus perhaps?
No Proteus connection.
Astron?

Off to the BH soon, and we know this is not an Astron!

The image of the puzzle car has disappeared (replaced with a black X and empty box)
It's a problem that affects some of us, me too.
We discussed it elsewhere and there are work in progress about. ;)
That's the JET Coupe, built by 162 Glassfibre in Edmonton around 1985.
Continental European roots = Apal

This is indeed the Jet, made by One-Six-Two Engineering (but your 162 Fibreglass is close enough for two points, especially as this one has been here for four years).
The car was not based around any Apal model though, as it was derived from the Austrian Custoca/Custoka Stratos (which was also made under license in Switzerland). Well done. Here's a photo of one of the three British Jets made, with the modified One-Six-Two front end. They even planned to offer a version with the DFV F1 engine, which thankfully never got built. Convertible and estate variants were also planned, but these were never made either.
I saw them as 1-6-2 Glassfibre, 162 Glass Fibre, One-Six-Two Engineering and more ;D
They had a whole line-up of model from Apal...I thought that was the hint.
You are right PJ that One-Six-Two went under various company guises, but none of its cars were Apal based as they were derived from either the Swiss Albar family (for the buggies and Sonic) or the Austrian Custoca (for the Jet).
And even the Custoca Jet was licence-built by Albar as the Barmettler Jet, so One-Six-Two probably just had a contract wth Barmettler/Albar.

Right...I wrote twice Apal but actually I meant Albar :P
