Would it therefore be right to assume that the drive train is British?

Papler?
There are a couple of well-known ones left like Voll&Ruhrbeck but they don't exist anymore...... let's try Rometsch ?
We finally have a winner.
Papler it is!
One point for galrot.
One more point is available to identify the chassis number of this one!
If you don't move this to the Professionals, then that one elusive point may never be distributed :)
Do you have a unmodified picture of the car btw? :)
Is it a 8c2300 ?
QuoteDo you have a unmodified picture of the car btw?
Yes :)
QuoteIs it a 8c2300 ?
I am not sure, but I think it is a smaller model.

Done.
I had this car as a puzzle myself. You can see the article from Motor-Kritik and the explanation.
Now if you look on the web, you can find the P3 registry quite easily. In there they offer detailed history of every P3 except this one: Alfa Romeo Tipo B (P3) s/n 50008
So, my guess is that this is the ex-Caracciola P3 s/n 50008
Just an educated guess :)
Perfect!
Your point.
Thank you - now I am sure, as this is the same car at the same place:
Interesting..... it is also said that s/n 50008 was used for one of the Bimotore Alfa's.

It is possible. I am just saying that this is a P3 claimed to be ex-Caracciola and I did not see one such car in the registry
