A second guess the circuit multi puzzle leading on from my first (which can be found at http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=8668.0). These should (hopefully) be harder in general but there are a few easier ones thrown in to get things going. Same rules as the first puzzle. No points for the cars ID, one point for each correct circuit ID. I will except the name the circuit is generally known by (ie if is has a longer but rarely used official name) but I won't except the name of the city/town the circuit is located in or the name of the race if the circuit has a distinct and different name (I'll use my discrection in any marginal cases). I'll award points as they are won not at the end and the circuits correctly identified will be shown below. Pictures will follow in the next few posts.  :)

GTC201 Angiuleme (75America) point awarded
GTC202 San Sebastien (D-Type) point awarded
GTC203 Valentino Park (Faksta) point awarded
GTC204 Dresden-Hellerau (Faksta) point awarded
GTC205 Enna-Pergusa (pnegyesi) point awarded
GTC206 Reims (Dynamike) point awarded
GTC207 St Helier (D-Type) point awarded
GTC208 Mugello (Allemano) point awarded
GTC209 Brooklands (Allan L) point awarded
GTC210 Solitude (Allemano) point awarded
GTC211 Le Mans (Faksta) point awarded
GTC212 Thruxton (Faksta) point awarded
GTC213 Livorno (Allan L) point awarded
GTC214 Nice (Faksta) point awarded
GTC215 Marseille (Allan L) point awarded
GTC216 Posillipo (Allan L) point awarded
GTC217 Mallory Park (D-Type) point awarded
GTC218 Calder Park (Faksta) point awarded
GTC219 Mellaha (Faksta) point awarded
GTC220 Modena (75America) point awarded

1-5

6-10

11-15

250gto

and finally 16-20

DynaMike

Great, 250GTO, that there's a new GTC puzzle!

#206 should be Circuit de Reims - Gueux.

250gto

Yep first one down goes to you as it did last time...
It is indeed the Reims pits in the 1932 French GP with Rudolf Caracciola's Alfa Romeo B P3 shown on his way to 3rd.

Allemano

I'm not an expert on this, but great pics, great puzzle!  :applause:

Allemano

Let's have a try: GTC210: Porsche 804 running at Solitude?

250gto

Got the car a little wrong (its a 718 not an 804) but that doesn't matter. It is indeed Solitude, Carel de Beaufort racing there in 1964. 1 point 2u

DynaMike

Could #204 be the Rennstrecke Dessau ?

Allemano

GTC207= Tourist Trophy, Isle of Man?

250gto

Sorry Allemano, two good guesses but neither is right.

Allemano

250gto

Oops sorry to Allemano and Dynamike :-[ not sure how I made that stupid mistake. One good guess from both of you but neither is right is what I meant to say.

faksta

Great puzzle, 250gto! Well, not going too deep, here are some of my thoughts:

204 - Dresden-Hellerau
209 - Sitjes Terramar?
213 - Pau?
219 - Mellaha (Tripoli)

250gto

Ok Faksta.
GTC204 is Dresden-Hellerau: Hans Klenk's Veritas Meteor in the 1951 Autobahnspinne Dresden F2 race.
GTC209 is not Sitjes and GTC213 is not Pau
GTC219 is indeed Mellaha, Luigi Villoresi's Maserati 4CL streamliner in the voiturette Tripoli GP of 1939.
So two points 2u.
As an aside the Tripoli GP was originally held at a circuit called Tripoli but this was completly different to the better known Mellaha circuit which is sometimes (wrongly) just called Tripoli.

faksta

75america

#18
#201- Circuit des Remparts, Angoulême France
#214 Monaco - Monte Carlo?

250gto

Sorry Faksta & 75America, both of those are good guesses but neither is right.

Allan L

#20
209 is the 1926 British GP course at Brooklands.
213 is Livorno (aka Leghorn in English)
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

250gto

Yep it is Brooklands. Robert Benoist's Delage 15S8 on its way to 3rd place in the 1926 English GP (the British GP in all but name) which had artificial chicanes built out of dirt piles on the start/finish straight.
1 point 2u.

D-type

201 Circuit des Ramparts Angouleme
207 Douglas, Isle of Man
214 San Remo
220 Turin
Duncan Rollo

The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

250gto

Ok D-type.
201 is Angouleme, Dorino Serafini's Ferrari 166F2 rounding one of the uphill hairpins in the 1950 Circuit des Remparts.
The other three are not right however.
One point 2U.

D-type

The point belongs to 75 America - he said it first (and got the accent correct)
