Robert Gerbout - his Lombard engined RG Speciale car was later fitted with a BMW 328 engine, but  I must admit  I thought his sports car was a Veritas.

tobytwirl

or Rene Duval, although I thought his sports car was ford v8 powered.

tobytwirl

I think I meant Pierre Duval!

SACO

Not Robert Gerbout and not Pierre Duval !

tobytwirl

How about Paul Delabarre who ran a Simca 8 with a BMW engine

tobytwirl

and finally there is the Monnier special which ran a BMW engine at leat in the hands of Pierre Bastien. Surely there was no other French F2 driver with a BMW powered machine. They all bought Gordinis............

SACO

Not Paul Delaware and not  Pierre Bastien !

It's a driver with an other  " bmw special " at the GP de Cadours and GP des frontières 1953 !

Thank you! the 2 drivers of BMW speciales at Cadours were André RIBAUT and Serge NERSESSIAN. Only Nersessian shows up at the GP DE Frontieres, but he is driving a Balsa according to one source, and his Special according to another.

I deduce that the car must be the Nersessian-BMW Special of 1953. I have never heard of him before.

Nor have I. I had to double-check in my Black Book.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia
