It certainly looks like a Renault Fuego or Alpine prototype model, though in my searches I haven't been able to find this or any image of it so far...

I have just now found this same imaged referred to as "Alpine A610 prototype" on a notoriously unreliable (but chock-full of pictures of rare cars) social network

Yes.  I've written it down as "Alpine A610 proposal" rather than a prototype, which infers that such a car was actually built whilst the picture is clearly a scale model!

I found a thread to follow and now I've been able to locate the image in several websites. The general agreement seems to be that this was an early Alpine GTA proposal.

This same photograph appeared in the specialist French Alpine magazine 'Mille Milles' some years ago, and it is an Alpine GTA proposal, not the later A610 facelift.
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.
