According to a well-known online source, it is not by Pininfarina but it IS based on the Mini...  PM sent.

Metro?

I don't have an alternative name for it but it according to my info it wasn't going to be either a Mini nor a Metro but something similar-sized.  All I want is what it was actually based on and what cc it was going to be ..

As far as I know it was based on the Mini with a 4" longer wheelbase with an overall length nearly 12 foot. It was designed at Longbridge and not by Pininfarina, Leonardo Fioravanti, who designed the 1100 and 1800 prototypes denied anything to do with it.
I believe the cc was 1275.

It was a proposal for a 1*** cc car (not 1275).
What floorpan did they have which was 4" longer than the Mini?
Locked for you.

It was based on the Mini Van platform which had the 4" longer wheelbase.

That's it, yes.
Although there are references to Minis it was never proposed as a Mini replacement as far as I'm aware, but was a slightly larger 1000 cc car, somewhere in between the Mini and the Austin 1100.
The influences of the Pininfarina BMC prototypes are plain to see.
