Well it is obviously an Austin 7 but equally obviously not a catalogued model and it has the rather battered look of a used-up car. The only non-Austin part I recognise is the M type MG windscreen frame.

How about Australia as the answer to "built where?"

Also the fact it is an Australian model brings the possibility of other names..

I really have no idea where it was built but the only internet site I can find it on shows it to have a Victoria registration plate so perhaps it was built in that state - and perhaps Melbourne as the greatest population centre.
That site speculates that it may have been called "Austin 7 Ace" but it has photos of the "Ace" which clearly show it is different.

Yes, it was built in Melbourne.
It is said to be a special  based on an Austin 7 Ace, which I took as Gospel but of course it may not be accurate..
I'm not qualified to argue!
