The car was built by Candy Poole, along with Bob Bentzinger, and named the Pool-Bentzinger Experimental. Amazingly it was built on the frame of a 1949 Fiat Model B station wagon, modified and fitted with the single cam Crosley engine and MG TC gearbox. The alloy body was by Sven Johnson of the Aeroform Company.
It was immensely successful in H-Modified racing with 26 class wins from 35 starts.
It still exists today, fitted with a 750 Coventry Climax engine.
