Pringett Mistrale ?

Similar colour scheme, but that's about it. Not a Mistrale.

Obviously losing wahtever touch I had.....If it isn't a Royale RP3, I have another suggestion - but little confidence !

Not a Royale, but ask as many questions as you like. It's like that stuff you throw at the wall - some of it might stick.

My initial thought was that this is an early fomula ford but some google searching suggests the engine looks wrong. Is there any Formula Ford in it?

Allan L

I'd have guessed at an early Formula Ford 2000, but not my period so can't continue, even if I'm right!
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

nicanary

Not Formula Ford, nor Formula Ford 2000. Nothing to do with Ford whatsoever.

I note, somewhat belatedly, that the exhaust is on the 'wrong' side for a F.Ford in any case.
I do recall Formula Talbot from the dim and distant, but can't remember what side their exhaust systems were on.
Their chassis were nearly all Spartons too, if memory serves.

Nothing to do with Formula Talbot, although there is a distant connection to that marque.

Looks like a cross-flow cylinder head. A Simca 1000 unit perhaps?

It was not built in France, but part of it is French.
