Curious.
If it was 1953 as stated, I've a couple of questions:
(a)  What formula would a 750cc or 850cc car have raced in?
(b)  As the Dauphine wasn't launched until 1956, how would an amateur builder have had access to a prototype engine in 1953?

According to another source, the car was built in 1960.

I thought that the original engine may have been replaced by a Dauphine one. I'll drop the year from the heading anyway.

D-type

1960 fits with the early days of Formula Junior with front engined cars.   But a Dauphine engine being only 850cc would not have been competitive with the 1000cc and 1100cc cars.
