I have a feeling that this is a prototype NSU for a small economy car that pre-dated the first Prinz.  Fiat help with the project from memory.

Yes you've basically got it, and a point will duly be awarded to you. But do you know the name of the project manager, which is sometimes applied to this design as its moniker?

Well, I know that in full this was called the NSU-Fiat Ratzmann-Wagen, so Ratzmann was the chap behind it I guess?
