Is it a home made one off or produced by a small manufacturer?
Not Lenham.
It is a one-off by a very well known person who now runs small car company.

Tim Dutton?
BINGO!

What is the name of this car!? LOCKED for 48 hours to give the answer.

Carnut

It's Tim Dutton's first car, the Mantis, built in 1969.
It was based on a Lotus 7 chassis and originally had a Coventry Climax engine, which was replaced before he sold it by a Sunbeam Alpine motor.  Noboby want to buy any so he moved on to making a  Lotus 7 style car; the rest, as they say, is history...

Your image seems to have got itself reversed.  It should look like this, below, with another picture I found:

Bingo! Well done, Carnut!  :applause: I intentionally reversed photo, I have to confess....

Just to add a little more information here, Tim Dutton built this car specifically for his cousin Tony Addison, with the car being built in a garden shed behind the Buckingham Arms pub (which Dutton's parents ran) in Shoreham-on-Sea, Sussex. The pub still exists today, but the garden shed fell down years ago (rather like many of Mr Dutton's cars!)  ;D
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.
