Can it be found on an Italian website ?

grobmotorix

Maybe - I found it on a non-Italian website.

oko94

Did you find it on a German website ?

My source is from 1928, but I presume it could be older, of course.

pnegyesi

1928 German magazine, available in a German digital library?

grobmotorix

Exactly. I saved the source in this case.

A better quality print, but still no name:

was this a motoring magazine?

grobmotorix

Yes, it was scanned from a 1928 magazine.

So the name is Vettori and there is a typo in the first name, I don't want to write it down because if you type it into Google there is only 1 hit. So I'd say Arturo Vettori

Finally!

Yes, this is Arturo Vettori´s "Luftschiff" (airship) and I guess this was a translation of the original Italian name into German.

It featured a 46HP engine and it is told that the  front went up during its 120 km/h drive-flying mode - scary... :)

And it is two points for you!

Ah, I see Otto's moved this one at last!
Thanks.

Yes. I had an e-mail from the solver today asking me to move it, and for some reason the "solved" option refused to appear when I attempted the move. Odd. I can only assume because someone else was using it at the same time, if you see what I mean.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia
