Audi 225?
Good guess, but no.
For all out there: you might be thinking in the wrong dimensions...
Ah! Children's pedal/electric car? :o
I would call this a really sophisticated kind of miniaturization.
It featured a gasoline engine also.
Is it like of those tiny cars like the 1955-sh Kroboth Allwetterroller?
It is tiny but it was not planned to be built in more than this one example.
It served a kind of a purpose so there is a small story to be told.

The words after "DKW" are correct...
Is it based on a post-war chassis ?
According to my source this vehicle has been built new from scratch.

Is there any info available online?
Not anymore, but I found it online... :-\
was this picture taken from a magazine?
No.
It stems from the official Mercedes Benz archive... :D
Maybe it is not a proper question, but do you have the Mercedes-Benz archive calling number? Then it'll be a piece of cake to solve it :)
Well - if this is the only way to solve it - try your luck :)
From the Mercedes archive:
"The car is an children's car "Reblaus II" of the Obertürkheim engineer Otto Lorenz. The vehicle was powered by a single-cylinder two-stroke engine KMS 33 with 0.75 hp / 0.55 kW power. It had two forward and reverse gears each. The maximum speed is given as 10.6 km / h. The vehicle was also externally controllable. View of the dashboard.with speedometer and Drehzahlmesser. The flexible hose contains the cables for the external control."
Equipped with this information, I found out that apparently it has survived and it was advertised on ebay, see picture attached
Congratulations!
