Not Veritas and not privately built.

I have assumed this is powered by a 750 BMW engine and has been made by a small manufacturer perhaps like Martini, but earlier. Am I right?

The name "Scampolo" has drifted into my consciousness from somewhere.  Is it one?

The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

Wendax

Yes, locked for you to name the model.

Is it as simple as Scampolo 750 [Barchetta]
I have seen it referred to as Scampolo 750 Barchetta, but I think the "Barchetta" is simply describing the body style.

Wendax

Yes, it is the Scampolo 750.

Was this front wheel drive, using DKW bits?

I don't know, but I just noticed that it is a repost (That old hyphen thingee again). Merged and title changed.
