I was a bit surprised Brock05 thought the engine cover didn't look right for an Alpine A108, because it is exactly right (see first picture below).
It couldn't be a Willys-Interlagos because they had a slightly different grille pattern, with square holes rather than the slightly more 3-D version of the French car (see second picture below).
