Its French, basis is Peugeot 203 prewar

Yes, it is French, and the base is a prewar Peugeot, but not a 203 (which would be postwar anyway).

That's closer. According to my source it was meant for the 202 and 402 models, but I guess it would have fitted the 302 as well.
