Fellow Autopuzzlers, for a point please identify this car.

Renault powered series in the USA ?
You're on the right track shamrock! The car pictured in the photo doesn't actually have a Renault engine, but it is a visually indistinguishable variant of a race car model that IS Renault-powered, and is raced in its own series in the States (or was; the lack of recent updates seems to indicate that this series is probably no longer active).

Locked for Shamrock or open to all ?
Hmm I am having some doubts about this because it's possible that shamrock actually knows the Renault-powered sister car but can't remember the name and is posting from memory; however, I think his post falls *just* short of a lock. oko94, You can go ahead, and thanks for asking before posting.

I've sent Shamrock a PM, I'm waiting for his answer before posting what I reckon to be the solution.

Spec Racer Ford (SRF) made by SCCA Enterprises.
Posted with shamrock's authorization.

Well, it's not a Spec Racer Ford and it was not made by the SCCA, though they seem to share the same bodywork, and I guess there may still be other variants out there using this body too. I didn't know this when I posted the puzzle, and now I see how it can lead to confusion, but since the puzzle has made it to Pro level, I think the exact car should be identified for the point. So, still open. Remember, this car has been built by a company that also makes a Renault-powered version, but is not SCCA (the car has, however, participated in SCCA events). BTW, hats off to your sportsmanlike conduct.

The original Spec Racer was Renault-powered before they switched to Ford engine, that's why I thought I had found the solution. I keep on digging.

Electric Vehicle Sports Racer, electric version of the Entropy Sports Racing Series, entered at Pike's Peak in 2015.
