What is this car, and who built it?

This is 1960s South African Formula 1 and Formula Libre. At first I thought it was the Heron-Alfa because it looks like the Gemini from which it was derived. However that helmet makes me think it is Pieter de Klerk's Alfa special, also known as the Otello Nucci Alfa Special after its sponsor. De Klerk built it with Pat Phillips and raced it very successfully in 1964.

You've hit the target with the first shot. Otello Nucci also entered LDS cars. A very neat car and relatively successful against specialist European cars.
