The more you learn, the more you realise how little you know.

An Austin 7 special of some sort, but I can't say I remember one with a windscreen like that.

..and Yes, but that's just part of the answer.
I will lock it for you until your next reply though to see if you can find anything else out about it.

Can't say I've got anywhere - looks as if it should be an Ashley Laminates body but isn't. Please unlock as I'm stumped.

Interesting to learn more about this, there was some discussion about the identity of the car online a while ago. It still exists, but the current owner didn't seem to know much about it.

Carnut

You're right.  The current owner thinks he knows what it is but most don't seem to agree with him.  I don't think I do either but I hoped someone here might know!

Well, it was thought to be a Microplas Stiletto, but the body is significantly different to the standard shell. Possibly modified by the first owner, or more likely built from scratch along similar lines.

That's the bit I was looking for, what it's said to be rather than what it is..
I'll call it solved because I don't think we're going to get any further than this.
It definitely doesn't look like a Microplas Stiletto to me, though that rear end does look vaguely familiar..
