I'm puzzled.  Any electric engine, whether brushless or conventional, is a rotary engine and not a reciprocating engine.  So how can it utilise the engine block from a petrol engine?  Can anyone explain please?

Elektrostar Car Project

developed for the aircraft, the vehicle is specially adapted.
3-phase BLDC high frequency, voltage 63 V, output
25 kW (a brushless motor with electronic commutation), weight 3.2 kg, 7800 rev. / Min.
The electric motor is put into the engine block of the Trabant, the dry clutch.
Option settings for the engine computer.

Trojan brand, 10 x 6, 250-300 Ah, weight 320 kg, a lifespan of 15 years (after 700 charge cycles capacity of 180 Ah) max supply current 400 A.
