Rust Z is a Hotchkiss Grégoire. I think it could be connected to Water 16: Spa Aquatonic in Saint-Grégoire, France. As for the extension, I have no idea so far.

Well found! Rust Z - Water 16 locked for you. The full name of the Spa might help you.  ;)

Thanks! Meanwhile an attempt for another thread: Rust T, a Lancia Aurelia B53 by Carrozzeria Balbo; Water 22, Aiuola Balbo in the Giardino dei Ripari, Turin; Extension u, Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, also in Turin.

? - 19 - c: ? - World Fair in Gent - Volvo Amazon factory in Gent

Is there a car made in Gent?

Wendax

No, this connection is a bit trickier.

Your clue directed me to the town of Rennes... where, as I just learned, Citroën set up a new plant in 1961. This leads us to Extension g: a Citroën factory under construction in Chartres-de-Bretagne, a suburb of Rennes.

Twice no

Then is it the word, gent? Like gentleman?

then is it related to the World Fair?

I've spent a lot of time on this one today, and I noticed that the 1913 Ghent Fair was nearly always referred to in French as the "Exposition Universelle de Gand".

That set me looking for car-related things called Universelle, but all I came up with was a GMC concept from 1955. However, I eventually found mention of a German motorcycle manufacturer from the 1920s called Universelle. Searching then on "Universelle Motorrad" quickly brought up Rust X, a Universelle ZIIIB, which has now been restored by a gentleman called Peter Patz.

So Rust X, Universelle motorcycle - Water 19, Exposition Universelle, Ghent 1913 - Extension c, Volvo factory in Ghent.

In my notes I had just put "French microcar?" against Rust A. I've always found them difficult to identify, so I was surprised when I found this one quite quickly (for me).

It's a Duport Parco, and searching for a water association came up with Water 12, the Fontaine du Port in Clermont-Ferrand in France. That in turn links with Extension f, part of the testing facility at the Michelin factory in Clermont-Ferrand.

How about the following thread: Rust Q – 1951-52 Chrysler Windsor; Water 18 – Peace Fountain in Windsor, Ontario, Canada; Extension s – a Ford Model 70 Transit Bus from the late thirties, in the service of the Sandwich, Windsor and Amherstburg Railway Company.

As Sherlock Holmes said: "My mind rebels at stagnation, give me problems, give me work!"
Well done!

Well, how about it? Perfect, I'd say.

Extension v is a Rolls-Royce Phantom II ice cream van by Stuart Whitby of Whitby Morrison. It is used in Kensington Gardens.

Is the water related to Kensington?

Extension r is the great Tazio Nuvolari at the wheel of his Alfa Romeo P3 in Bergamo, Water 9 is the Piazza della Libertà (with a nice fountain at its centre) in the same town. As for the matching car, I was clueless, but a search for automobiles with the keyword Liberta brought up some funny, buggy-like vehicles that bear a strong resemblance to Rust E. Not quite sure about the correct name of the car, though: it seems to have originally been built by the Belgian firm Méan, and called Liberta Fun Car, while some (later?) examples are simply referred to as Liberta buggy...
