Was this a design proposal for the Autobianchi Y10? By Giugiaro, perhaps?

Upon further research, it appears to be a design proposal for the Autobianchi/Lancia A112 replacement (Y10). The process began in 1978 and involved Vittorio Ghidella, Pier Giorgio Tronville, Mario Maioli and Tom Tjaarda of Fiat, Giugiaro/Italdesign, and Pininfarina. (I am not sure of the designer of this particular proposal, but it resembles drawings submitted by Pininfarina.) Here is the same car shown from the front.

1 Point for GTE4289.  It is indeed a Y10/A112  Proposal in fact by Giugiaro.

A bit more detail courtesy of the Autodesign magazine. It would be interesting to know if it was a working car. It looks it as you can see the Panda leaf springs poking under the rear. It seems to be entirely forgotten even by Ital themselves.

I was going to try Autobianchi by ItalDesign  before I guessed Innocenti as I thought it had Giugiaro written all over it, but although I have several reference books on Giugiaro and ItalDesign this car was not in any of them so I didn't...
