Renault 5 Turbo.
Getting much closer now, because it has a Renault drivetrain.

I remember I saw it in a facebook group some times ago...and I was sure about Renault, but I can't find it again.  Perhaps a R 21 engine?

Wendax

The source named another Renault model.

#31
It looks quite like one of those Motto-bodied Rosier Renaults of the early 1950s.
They were based on the Renault 4CV; any connection?

I remember that the owner thought that his car could be an Alpine Renault, but it was clear He was wrong.  I can't remember other model.

Wendax

Not Alpine based, think of another sporty Renault.

Now we are almost there. What would your car have been called, if it was sold in Italy?

Yes! As it is Christmas and Richard had basically guessed the right car already, I will give one point each to both of you.  :)
