Does it look familiar?
Name the base of the car, who made the bodywork, who designed it and when – for a point!
Experts?
Looks like a Pininfarina Cisitalia 202
Looks like Zagato Panoramica bodywork, but if it is, it's not the Alfa i have seen. I have never seen that body on a Lancia either, so is it a Fiat?
Is it English?
It's neither a Fiat nor Cisitalia, neither a Alfa Romeo nor Lancia.
Not Zagato and it's not English either.
is it Italian?
Italian body an a German chassis ?
Delahaye with coachwork by Boneschi?

Body by Ghia?
not Ghia and not a 507
BMW 501 with body by Stabilimenti Farina (designed by Michelotti?) circa 1952?
But it is a BMW designation to be solved

Sort of..
and not only that if you take a look at my first post
Does "Sort of BMW" mean a Glas?

Does "Sort of BMW" mean a Glas?
No, but you got my hint right..
Glas built their first car later.
Sort of means it's a little more complicated than to search for a particular BMW model..
An EMW 340?
I suppose it's by Touring Superleggera.

- who made the bodywork...
- who designed it...
Are both of these elements Italian?
Neither Pinin nor Stabilimenti Farina
BTW: as far as I can tell it's not a Veritas Meteor
Coachwork by Colli?
This one did not survive, I suppose
Veritas by Riva di Merate?

Veritas by Riva di Merate?
 Locked for you to fill in the missing details..
I suppose the design could be referred to Mario Riva and Guido Cattaneo. It's quite lookalike to Fiat 1100E/1400 Coupé and 6c2500 Lurani Coupé, both from 1950...so I guess this Veritas is from 1950 too.

not quite.. one more try!
I need the base: both companies were already mentioned, but I need the engine it had
Coachbuilder is Riva. The design goes back to somebody already mentioned as well..
The year is still wrong.
Veritas-bmw RS based, 1948, Lurani design?
Or the BMW Veritas RS "Tipo Monza" for Count Giovanni Lurani Cernuschi?

Maybe it wasn't plain to see, but it still was locked for targhediferro. ;)

Almost correct. It's based on a Veritas BMW
328 according to my source and the year is 19
49, but the nickpicky days are over.. Point for
targhediferro!Quote: "BMW-Veritas 328 di Giovanni Lurani, carrozzeria Riva, 1949"
Thanks to our great Paul Jaray I found this car which is not featured in Alessandro Sannia's Riva book. Paul told him about the car, but obviousely it was too late. The chapter was closed.
According to Rosellen's Veritas book Lurani's car is a BMW 328 rebodied by a Turinese coachbuilder named Caracciolo and was brought to Veritas because of engine problems. But Rosellen (aka Thyssen-Bornemisza) may be wrong(again).

Same pics in the Rosellen book?
Exactly those three
The car has a Como number plate. Merate is not too far away (~ 35 km). Were Merate cars equipped with Como plates back then? Maybe the Italian members know.

My apologies.
I wouldn't have got this without his post anyway...
Thank you for the point....Merate had Como plates, and the front of this Veritas is so similar to Fiat 1400 Coupé Riva that I dare to say that it very hard to think that a "never heard by anybody" Mr. Caracciolo could have coachbuilt it.
