To gain a point, what is this car called?
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

The obvious answer is cord 810, but I feel this is AutoPuzzles and I should start digging now...

It is certainly inspired by a Cord 810, but as you rightly say, this being Autopuzzles, it is not a Cord itself, so...

It's the VW based car built in 1960 by Helmrich family.

You're almost there, but the name (and date) are not quite right, so now Locked to you for another try.

Well, this is what I have.  It came from a usually affordable site.   Elsewhere I found this car named as a Coffin Nose by Redhead, built in 1995....by with no proof.

As it's almost Easter and I'm feeling generous, I shall award the point to Targhediferro. I had this car under a very close but different name (made by Helmich, rather than Helmrich, with an 'r') but research into this Cord replica shows both names, with some English-language sources suggesting Helmrich, and German media (where I sourced this puzzle image) Helmich. The car was made around 1980.
