I only know the car's name and what it was made for, so I can't say with any certainty who actually built it..

This looks like the electric MITI EV-2P concept from c.1971-72, developed by the National Academy of Sciences and Technology for the Japanese MITI (Ministry of International Trade and Industry). This car made a regular appearance on the pages of the Electric Car section of the Italian annual World Cars books for some years!
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Yes, you're there!

It was developed by the National Academy of Sciences and Technology for the Ministry of International Trade and Industry's Ministry of Industry and Technology!  Foxed most people, including me, but not the intrepid Djetset!  Well recognised!
