Yes it is!

Immediately following the war, the COA (Comité d'Organisation de l'Automobile) determined commuting parisiens would be best served if all taxis in Paris were of a standardized make and design. A design competition was launched in 1945 and five prototypes were submitted for approval--those of Escoffier, CGV (Compagnie Géneral des Voitures), Pierre Schwob, Guilloré and SPC (Société Parisienne de Camions). Despite being equipped with the largest engine of the five competitors, SPC's Ford V8-powered prototype landed in last place. In the end, however, the idea of a standardized Parisian taxi was dropped and none of the five prototypes ever went into production.
