This guy made road wheels and founded a racing car manufacturing company in 1970. He's well-known in Japan. I found this other period photo.

I discovered this car and learned about Masakazu Hayashi while reading about his younger cousin, Minoru Hayashi. This Lotus 7 replica made such an impression on the younger Hayashi that he became obsessed with building sports cars and went on to found DOME Co. Ltd (see here, here, here, here, here, here and here).
