Any Triumph connection?
Yes - it is Triumph-based.
So I assume this is a special body sitting on a TR2/3 chassis. Is the body a one off or is it a modified propriatry body like a Heron.
Your assumption is correct; the example pictured sits on a TR2 chassis.
I don't know how many were made, but the body was available for mounting on any chassis which fitted.
Was it made by a company better known for other bodies eg Heron?
No. Don't know of another one by them.
Is it British?

Built between 1953 and 1958 ?
I don't know when it was built, sorry.
It was built by at least 1961, as that's the first mention of it I can find of the car. The car itself is Vaudreuil GT, made in Canada, and was based on a Triumph TR2.
Yes, that's right - very good!
Just one last question to be answered then for your point: who built it?
E.V. Waddington.
That's (partly) it as he was probably the boss of the company which built it.
His name is there as he wrote the letter which pictures the car, so let's call it solved, give you your point and below is a copy of the said letter:
I read the article which accompanied the press cutting and photograph, which suggested that there were similarities between the Vaudreuil and the Conrero TRS. (!)
Well yes, they both have 4 wheels and see-through windows, I suppose.
Yes, I read that and thought exactly the same.
Of course, we get a bit blasé about knowing something about these rare cars and specials, so I suppose you have to forgive people who have no idea any of them even exist!
