Gain a point by naming the designer, plus the make and model name of this proposed car (and sorry for the fuzzy image).

Up to the Experts...

It looks for all the world like a Lancia Flavia coupe, so that means it can't be one..
Is it related, i.e. a sketch for one of the Agnelli Ferrari Superamericas or Maserati 5000 GT by their designer Brovarone?

Yes, it does resemble a Pininfarina-bodied Lancia Flavia Coupe, but it's not that, and it's not related to a Brovarone Ferrari or Maserati.

Thought not..!
It's a bit of an understatment to say it resembles the Flavia coupe though.. I'd say someone somewhere is guilty of plagiarism!
The style of rendering actually looks rather like Fiore's, bult I thought it was a bit too early a style for him.
I'll ask the question though. Anything to do with Fiore?  A Jaguar design by him perhaps?

.....but it seems to have a Gregoire grille!

Yes, it is a Trevor Fiore sketch (I thought his style might be too easy to spot!), but it's not a Jaguar design proposal, so now Locked to you to discover the planned make and model of this rendering.

No, not a Gregoire grille, although I can see what you mean.

Thanks for the lock.
It's LHD; does that mean it's a non-British marque?

No, it's a proposal for a British marque. The Lock remains.

Thanks.
About 12 years ago a number of Fiore drawings were auctioned by H&H.  I was there but didn't manage to buy what I went for (his TVR Trident drawings); I did get a Lancia drawing though.  I believe this was one of the drawings!  I did save them all on my computer at the time (they were all available on-line) but that was my work computer and now that I'm retired I don't have them any more and they're no longer available on-line...

However, I believe this one was an Alvis design?

This is an Alvis design by Fiore, so you're pretty well there. For one last Lock though, do you know which Alvis model this was proposed to be?

It seems this was a design for a car to be called Alvis Eleganza, though I don't know whose name that was - Alvis's or Fiore's!

Here are a few more pictures of his designs, including the unmodified front view, the rear and side views (the latter two actually for slightly different designs from the puzzle front view):

Well done, Eleganza was the name I was looking for, with this Fiore proposal also being referred to simply as the Alvis TE and TF as well, which I guess this was possibly a proposal to replace the existing Graber-styled models.

Your extra point gets your total to 400, now officially making you a Pro! Congratulations!  :applause:

Congratulations to Carnut! Need to mark. :)

Thanks!
Not sure if it's a good thing or bad though...
Wont's be able to have so much fun now.  I can never answer any Pro puzzles!

Well done! I know you enjoy finding new puzzles to post, and that's what'll take up all your time now. Trying to solve Pros stuff is erm.....challenging.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Carnut

Quite; I've been a Pro before of course, in the days when you became a Pro once you had 200 pts.  I know how difficult life is at that level.
Maybe it's time for another rule change!!
